Passion and purpose - My mission in photography is to capture your essence. I have spent over 25 years listening, loving and branding my clients. The difference you will feel when you work with me is that you will be seen, acknowledged and heard! My passion for photography extends far beyond having you in front of my lens. First, I want to know you and understand your needs. Our first meeting is all about getting to know you, it is not transactional. That comes with time and preparation. I would be honored to be a part of your journey.
Beginning - I received a 126 Kodak Instamatic film camera as a gift from my aunt and uncle when I was five years old. Although I was young, this mature gift suited me just right. A childhood trip to Washington D.C. was my photography debut, and caused my parents to comment admiringly on my natural ability for what was later to become my passion.
College Years - I continued developing my talent throughout high school. In college, I received formal training in photography and made money as a “party picture girl,” taking photos at sorority and fraternity functions.
Inspiration - After graduating college in 1994, I was fortunate enough to work with several inspiring and accomplished mentors who helped me perfect my craft and establish myself as the professional photographer I am blessed to be today.
Fun facts & Silliness - I was married to the love of my life, Jake in July of 2015 and was thrilled to inherit the best daughter ever, Leah. In 2017 we also welcomed Leah's amazing boyfriend Eric!
I’ve had a camera in my hand for over 40 years. I love 80's music and am a proud fan of both trashy old television shows like Melrose Place as well as trashy new television shows like The Bachelor. My favorite snacks include Swedish Fish, Ring Pops, and sushi. I’m an avid lover of silly faces, 80’s music, anything that sparkles, mid-century modern design, and cooking for my family and friends.
I had the pleasure of an amazing photoshoot with Tricia this week! Not only did she capture my essence, personality and sass, she captured the complete personality of my brand!!! I am beyond the moon excited about every single image!! I can't wait to complete a session with my family and another shoot this summer with my adventurous vision! I highly recommend this experience!! Her work is absolutely stunning, I had the time of my life with laughter, and I felt like a queen! Hollie
Tricia is wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about her; she is professional, optimistic, allows you to feel so good about yourself while getting photographed. She is prompt and on top of everything, I never once had to ask about the status of my photos, as she sent me reminders and updates. Her work is spectacular, and I get compliments all the time about the amazing quality of my photos. If you are needing engagement photos, wedding photos, or professional photos done I would pick her! She has done it all for my family, and will continue to use her in the future.Jenny
Oh my goodness! Tricia is such a joy to work with. Her attitude overflows abundantly and you just can't help but smile! She listened intently to my story and showed genuine interest in my life. Tricia is one in a million and will do her very best to get what you want! I can't think of anyone else in this industry that would do a better job than Tricia! Corina
Just a note of thanks. You showed up on time, ready to go, and had ideas flowing so easily for my photo shoot. You made it fun, relaxed and even shared a few photos as we went about the session. I can't thank you enough for making my vision and your artistry come to life!Kim Dalzell
My experience with Turpenoff Photography was PHENOMENAL! I am typically self conscious in front of a camera. Tricia made me feel SO comfortable. I was blown away with how true and fun the results of our photo shoot were. The images she captured we extremely artful, genuine, and beautifully lit. I was impressed with her knowledge of photography and how to capture not only my essence but how to utilize the light and our surroundings. I will ALWAYS have Tricia take my photographs. She is professional, artistic, knowledgeable, gentle, fun and I believe she is anointed behind a camera!Betsy Clark
I started receiving brochures for senior portraits for my daughter the summer before her junior year, a year earlier than expected. I would glance at them and then into the trash they would go…except for one. When I opened Tricia’s brochure, I was moved. These photos were unlike any of the others I had seen. These were so natural and seemed to really capture each individual for who they truly were.
I kept that brochure for a year and when the time came to schedule Amber’s senior pictures, I called Tricia. After the three of us met, we knew we needed to look no further for a photographer. Tricia talked with Amber about her interests and gave her many options on locations for her photos. Amber chose a location we would have never thought of and it was perfect for her.
A few years later when it was my son James’ time for portraits, we once again called Tricia. His were equally wonderful and totally “him”. I never hesitate to recommend Tricia to anyone looking for a photographer, no matter the event or portrait they need. She is the best!Allison
You can't believe how many compliments I'm getting on the photos you did for me! Thank you for your attention to detail and for capturing ME!Donna Galassi
We used Tricia first for my senior photos, and she did a great job with those - fun, easy to work with, made things enjoyable when I'm not usually happy having my picture taking. Using her for our wedding photos was the easiest choice we made for our wedding, and we weren't disappointed. She was fun and easy to work with, took a ton of photos, and managed to get shots of everything we wanted without being intrusive or causing any issues whatsoever. Post-wedding she was great as well, staying for the bulk of the party, taking more awesome photos, getting a ton of cool angles... I would recommend her to anyone who asked. Worth every penny.David T
Professional and excellent photographer! Tricia shot our engagement photos in Vail where we got engaged, and she was so excellent. We incorporated our golden retriever, Ella in our photos, and Tricia was so patient and good with her. Our engagement photos are absolutely gorgeous!! For our wedding, we flew Trisha and her second shooter to North Dakota, and she was so amazing. We got married on the campus that we met at, and Trisha captured so much of our lives when we first got together. Our wedding photos are absolutely amazing, and we get compliments constantly on them. We created a "Facebook" of our bridal party for Tricia to know the members of our bridal party, and she knew every person in our wedding party by name; amazing! Such a wonderful, personal touch. We will be using Tricia for photos in the future, for she was one of the best photographers we've ever worked with!Jenny W
Tricia and her team are amazing. Our engagement pics were taken at Red Rocks, and Tricia did a great job handling us, our bikes and dogs! What a wonderful experience. Our wedding was photographed beautifully and I can't thank Tricia enough for her responsiveness and her artistic style. She is everything you are looking for in a photographer - creative, supportive, easy to work with, and keeps to the schedule.Diane H
